Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has commenced a series of road safety improvements across Beaumont Avenue, Weston, Finsbury Park and the surrounding area this month.
The works include:
Two new zebra crossings on Beaumont Avenue
New raised pedestrian crossings at Beaumont Drive and Weston Avenue
A new zebra crossing in Finsbury Park at Gaelscoil na Fuinseoige
Improving safety for young families and school routes in this area has been a long-standing priority for me. When I stood for election, my neighbours and residents consistently raised concerns about road safety along Beaumont Avenue. Since then, I’ve worked to ensure that investment in these critical improvements was prioritised, and it’s great to see that work now being delivered.
These upgrades will make walking to nearby schools, crèches, Finsbury Park playground, and onwards towards Dundrum safer and more accessible for everyone.
🦺 Construction Schedule:
Work began on October 6th and is expected to continue through late October. Local traffic management measures will be in place during this time, and I encourage all road users to follow the directions provided on site.
